Training & Behaviour Support
Initial 90 minutes assessment and training session
Service Description
Whether you want help with things like loose lead walking and recall, or you need support with reactivity, fear or anxiety, your starting point is an initial assessment and training session. This session gives us the time to properly understand what’s going on, why it’s happening, and start putting practical training in place straight away. You can book this as a standalone session, or choose a package that includes your initial session plus 3 follow-up training sessions - ideal if you want structured support and steady progress over time. All sessions include: - A tailored training plan sent by email - Ongoing WhatsApp support between sessions Most dogs benefit from a bit of ongoing support after the first session, and we’ll talk through what that looks like for you during your appointment. There’s no pressure to commit upfront - we build a plan that fits you and your dog. Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing Lead & Follow Dog Training services. To ensure the best experience for you and your dog, please review the following booking and cancellation policy: Booking Policy • All dog training sessions must be booked in advance. • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your session (unless you are booking a multi session package, in which case full payment is required when booking the first session). • Sessions may be booked online, by phone, or in person, subject to availability. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy • We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. • Cancellations or changes made more than 48 hours before your scheduled session will receive a full refund or may be rescheduled without penalty. • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the forfeiture of the full session fee. • No-shows are non-refundable and considered a late cancellation. Late Arrivals • Please arrive on time. Sessions cannot be extended due to late arrival and will end at the scheduled time. Emergencies We understand that emergencies can happen. If you are unable to attend due to an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate on a case-by-case basis. Provision of Training Based on the information you provide and my observations during our session, I will provide a training plan for you to follow with your dog. Success is dependent on adherence to the plan, and therefore cannot be guaranteed. Dogs learn at different speeds and therefore I can’t estimate or guarantee how long it will take to see results. If you have any questions about your training plan you have full WhatsApp support between sessions and up to 12 weeks following a session. At times following a catch up I may tweak your existing plan. If you want to focus on something new it’s likely a further session will be required. The Use of Aversive Tools Lead & Follow Dog Training is committed to using humane, science-based training methods that prioritise the physical and emotional well-being of all dogs. As such, the use of aversive tools—including but not limited to prong collars, choke chains, electronic (shock) collars, and spray collars—is strictly prohibited at sessions, and you will be asked to remove this in order to participate. Photos & videos Lead & Follow Dog Training reserves the right to take footage during an event and use this on social media/website.
