Terms and Conditions - Mantrailing

1. The terms and conditions are in effect as soon as you sign up for any Mantrailing session bought from Lead & Follow Dog Training.
2. Booking a session
Everyone must attend an Introduction to Mantrailing session prior to booking on any Progression, Progression Plus or themed session. If you have completed this with a different Mantrailing Global instructor please provide
details of this when booking.
All bookings must be paid for in advance, at the time of booking. Bookings are not confirmed until Lead & Follow Dog Training has received payment and confirmed this. You will receive an email confirming your place on the session. The attendee is agreeing to communication via e-mail and therefore storing the e-mail address and provided data on the booking form with Lead & Follow Dog Training. A booking is for one team consisting of one person and one dog. If you wish to bring more than one dog, they will need to be booked as a second team. If you wish to bring a guest to watch/take part as a trail layer, please let me know in advance. You will be responsible for showing these terms and conditions to your guest and ensuring they follow the terms and conditions at all times
All attendees must fill out the booking form to the best of their ability when booking a session. Lead & Follow Dog Training can refuse a team if all information asked from them is not provided before the event/session.
3. Participation
Any participant is required to have a harness and a long lead on their dog. You will not be allowed to participate if you want to put the long lead on a collar and refuse to put a harness on your dog.
All clients agree to only use positive reinforcement methods with their dogs during sessions with Lead & Follow Dog Training. Anyone found to be using harsh/punitive methods of handling during a session may be asked to leave the event, and will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.
All clients agree to follow the instructions of the instructor/trainer at all times. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave, with no refund due, if it's believed that you pose a risk to other clients/dogs/the general public.
4. Behaviour in and around the training areas
All attendees must follow the guidelines of the trainers of Lead & Follow Dog Training. You are responsible for your dog's behaviour, so for your instructor's guidance to be sound, you need to disclose before or at the time of booking if your dog has any behavioural issues, is fearful or reactive to people or dogs, and if they have a bite history or have been trained in bite sports. If your dog has been trained in bite sports you must have your own public liability insurance. Dogs must be on lead at all times during the session. Please note to always be friendly with pedestrians and traffic participants. You are required to wear a high vis vest or similar, especially when working your dog in areas with a lot of traffic. Lead & Follow Dog Training does not take any responsibility for interference with the law or injuries while participating in the event/service.
Your dogs are to be left in the car or securely closed in while we are working other dogs. It is the dog owner’s responsibility to make sure that the car has enough air circulation/flow and water is provided for the dogs’ health and safety.
5. Health of participating dogs
It is the responsibility of each participant to make sure that their dog is free of diseases and fully
vaccinated. If a bitch comes into, or is in season, Lead & Follow dog Training must be informed. If a dog falls ill shortly before or during the event/service, Lead & Follow Dog Training must be informed immediately to discuss further action and prevent a possible disease from spreading. All dogs accepted require to be de-wormed and de-flead regularly.
6. Liability and insurance
The participation in any events offered by Lead & Follow Dog Training is on your own risk which
means the insurance lies with the participant/s themselves. We therefore make you aware, that you must be insured to be able to participate in any events. The participant is fully reliable for any damages/harm done by either themselves, their dogs or the people that came with them. Lead & Follow Dog Training and the organiser/s and trainer/s, instructor/s do not take ANY responsibility for ANY damage/harm done to a person/s or a thing/s (e.g. buildings, cars, dogs, personal belongings
etc.). The participant takes the full responsibility for his/her dog/s, even if acting upon instruction of a trainer.
You are fully responsible for your own and your dogs` actions. Lead & Follow Dog Training cannot be asked to take over any costs for damage or harm done to you or your dog/s.
Lead & Follow Dog Training does not take any responsibility in case of injury or death of your dog/s, other animals or yourself or third parties.
Lead & Follow Dog Training takes all reasonable precautions within the structure of our training
sessions/workshops/courses to avoid injury resulting from dog bites. However, Lead & Follow Dog Training accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from dog bites occurring to clients or their dogs while attending training sessions/seminars/courses/workshops. The Control of Dogs
Act 1986 section 21 - "Liability of owner for damage by Dog" applies within our
classes/seminars/workshops/trainings/introduction courses and on our premises or public premises (rented from a third party or owned).
All instances of accident or injury must be reported to the dog instructor at the time they occurred.
7.. Equipment and clothing
With every event you will need good, comfortable shoes (eg hiking boots) and you need to be
dressed appropriately for any weather conditions. The participant is responsible to inspect the
quality and functionality of the harness, long lead and collar of the dog/s.
8. Length of the event/service
The trainer will determine the length of the session based on the progress of each participant and their dogs, as well as the number of participants and the physical and psychological capability of each dog. The trainer will act in the best interest of the dog and can therefore order a rest for a dog or put a halt on further training sessions. If the participant is late for the session, it is their own fault, and the trainer will not stop/pause the session because of this. The participant is not eligible to make up for any missed hours/days or get a reduction of cost because of such.
9. No guarantee of success
Lead & Follow Dog Training will not guarantee any success during or after any event/service.
10. Copyright
All the copyright is reserved by Lead & Follow Dog Training. This includes material, videos, pictures, texts, etc.. Information in any form, provided during an event/service, in its original form or modified, can only be used/published with written consent from Lead & Follow Dog Training. 11. Non-Competition clause
Any individual participating in introduction courses, seminars, workshops, trainings or any other
services that are offered by Lead & Follow Dog Training agrees not to conduct/hold/offer such or
similar, to the general public or another business or third parties within the United Kingdom. This
includes Mantrailing introduction courses, Mantrailing seminars, Mantrailing workshops, Mantrailing trainings within two consecutive years after the event. This can only be changed, if the individual undertakes the Mantrailing Global instructor course or is an existing Mantrailing Global certified instructor.
12. Pictures and videos
Lead & Follow Dog Training reserves the right to take pictures and videos during an event. Every participant herewith agrees for these to be published on the website, social media or written form.
Participants are not allowed to take pictures, videos, etc. without the consent of the other participants and Lead & Follow Dog Training. Participants are NOT allowed to publish any pictures, videos, voice recordings, text, information gained in any way.
If you do not want to be filmed or photographed (or your dog), you need to let Lead & Follow Dog Training know in writing. The owner allows and consents for their dog to be photographed, videotaped, and/or used in any media or advertising by Lead & Follow Dog Training without prior approval. All such photographs and videos etc. are the property of Lead & Follow Dog Training.
13. Cancellation policy - workshops and courses
The cancellation fee is 100%, unless the space can be taken by another team. Lead & Follow Dog Training will advise the client if this is possible, and issue a voucher for a future session if the place is filled.
In case the participant or the participants´ dog becomes ill, so that they cannot take part in the
event, it is at the discretion of Lead & Follow Dog Training if a voucher will be issued for a future
event.
Events/services generally take place in every weather.
In case of a change of date, place or time Lead & Follow Dog Training will inform the participant.
Lead & Follow Dog Training reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event/service for one of the following reasons:
If the trainer/instructor falls ill or cannot hold the event for other reasons,
If there is a severe weather warning in place
If the trailing area is deemed to be dangerous to either dog or handler
In all cases, if the event is cancelled by the trainer, all participants will be issued a voucher due a future event.
14. Limitations
Mantrailing UK sessions are not to be used to teach your dog operational mantrailing. Attending a Mantrailing UK workshop at any level does not give you the authority to go out and operationally find people or dogs.
15. General
These Terms and Conditions are in place to assist our clients in getting the most they can from
training with Lead & Follow Dog Training.
Our terms and conditions may change over time. The terms and conditions apply at time of booking.
Revised terms and conditions apply to subsequent bookings.
By booking a course/seminar/workshop or attending our training sessions or any other services Lead & Follow Dog Training you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
